Becca Manthe, MA, Mental Health Practitioner  joined the clinic in 2022 and is located at the Golden Valley office.  Becca completed her Master's Degree in the Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy and Art Therapy tracks at the Adler Graduate School in Minnetonka, MN.  Becca is working under the supervision of Jesse Kardong, MA, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  She offers counseling services for couples and families, individual adults, children ages 8 and older, and adolescents.

Becca specializes in integrating nature-based art therapy and expressive arts therapies into her therapeutic work with clients.  Art therapy and expressive arts therapy provide alternate modes of communication for exploring challenges while supporting a return to emotional and psychological balance.  The body-based experience of communicating with art materials is a present moment activity that brings insights that may otherwise be inaccessible.  This way of entering internal or external awareness and conflict resolution favors creativity, global thinking, and integration of the mind-body-spirit connection.

Becca works with clients indoors and outdoors and provides natural materials alongside traditional art supplies to enhance and facilitate verbal processing in therapy sessions.  She has completed Nature-Based Expressive Arts Therapy for Healing Trauma and Grief through Nature and Climate-Aware Therapy training.  Becca's special interest is working with people sensitive to climate change issues.

Becca provides holistic, strengths-based treatment for relationship issues, family dynamics, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, conflict resolution, self-compassion, trauma, stress management, neurodiversity, and codependency.  Becca values mutual respect, consensus, peaceful conflict resolution, and collaboration.  She practices Mindful Self Compassion and Nonviolent Communication in sessions with clients and integrates polyvagal theory and mindfulness practices to build self-regulation skills, address trauma symptoms, and deepen the impact of healing.

Becca graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art Design in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Design.  Additionally, Becca is a professional musician, currently has a Buddhist spiritual practice, and a deep understanding of Christianity.

Becca is offering in office, outdoor and telehealth video sessions for new clients.

Becca currently has openings for new clients.
