Leah Falk, MA, LADC, MS, LPCC joined the clinic in 2019 and is located at the White Bear Lake office. Leah offers counseling services for adults, adolescents, and couples. Family sessions are available by request. Leah specializes in substance use disorders, co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders, relationship conflict, family systems conflict, trauma, depression, anxiety, and symptoms resulting from interpersonal (domestic) violence or systems with an imbalance of power and control. Leah has experience as an inpatient substance use counselor, school alcohol and drug counselor, county mental health and child protection worker, and outpatient co-occurring disorder counselor and comes with 19 years of experience in the mental health field. Leah uses a theoretical orientation anchored in attachment, gestalt, and family system theories along with spirituality, intuition, channeling, meditation, prayer and mindfulness as means of deriving insight into barriers and strengths for clients. The diversity of all spirituality including agnosticism and atheism is recognized and respected. Leah's passion involves helping clients discover, develop, and trust their internal guidance to better enable clients to reach their life goals and aspirations.
Leah received a Master of Arts from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School in Addiction Studies in 2005 and a Master of Science degree from Walden University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016. Leah received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2000. Leah is dually licensed as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
