Becky Krenz-Roe, MA, LMFT joined the clinic in 2019 and is located at the Golden Valley office. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. Becky enjoys guiding individuals, couples, and families utilizing a combination of concrete tools and thoughtful exploration to increase understanding, shift patterns and promote safe growth. The ultimate goal of her work is to harness the power of connection-to our whole selves, our friend and family relationships, our community, and to our planet-as a powerful path toward truth and healing.
Becky believes that our own bodies can be valuable sources of information to help us identify and process feelings, experiences, and increase a sense of safety and grounding that can assist with discovering new insights and inspiring growth and creativity. She is in the process of furthering her training in dance/movement therapy, which is a creative, whole-person, somatic approach to mental health. She also has extensive training and experience in working with trauma and approaches all clients through a compassionate, trauma-informed lens. Becky also joyfully offers both indoor and outdoor ecotherapy and nature re-connection sessions to improve mental health outcomes and is currently training with the Earthbody Institute to further her ecotherapy expertise.
Becky holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University. She has 15 years of experience providing therapy in a variety of settings including wilderness therapy, residential treatment, schools, and outpatient clinics.
Becky especially welcomes working with adult clients experiencing life transitions, clients who identify as creative or sensitive, adults who have experienced trauma and are looking for a somatic approach to therapy, adults managing anxiety or depression, and parents of children with chronic illness, as well as couples seeking greater connection in their relationships.
