Arianne Johnston, MA, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Arianne joined the clinic in 2019 and is located at the Golden Valley office. Arianne works with individual adults, adolescents ages 12-18, couples and families. She specializes in working with clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, family conflict, parenting challenges, trauma, and work-life balance. Arianne has been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which is an evidence based trauma treatment for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, along with their parents or caregivers. Arianne employs client centered, evidence based, family systems, holistic and mindfulness approaches to therapy, which she utilizes in a collaborative nature with clients based upon what fits for them. She believes in the interconnectedness of the mind, body and spirit and that everyone has the capacity to grow into their best self. Arianne views growth as a life-long process and values the use of compassion, empathy, humor and play along this journey.
Arianne has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Skidmore College and a Masters Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. Prior to entering private practice, Arianne provided in-home therapy with children and families for 3 years and spent 2 years as an elementary school based therapist.
